Originating from an era before electricity and the light bulb, Railway Companies required illumination in a wide variety of applications across there infra structures. Oil lamps were developed in a wide range of designs, shapes and forms often hand made from soldered tin plate sheet each are subtly different. Many had a long service life and continuing in daily use until the 1970's.
