Description
A matching pair of water gauge protectors from an LMS 8F locomotive. Used on the backhead of the loco boiler to wrap around the water gauge glass tube and offer some protection to the footplate crew in the eventuality of the pipe shattering under full boiler pressure. In totally as removed condition complete with years of grim and authentic smell of the steam locomotive they were removed from.
