NER 12inch clock Ex Thorner Station ticket office

An impressive North Easter Railway 12inch drop dial master clock from Thorner Station ticket office. In wonderful ex-railway service condition with BR(NE) face, numbered 6196. Solid Oak dovetail construction case with segmented dial surround. The case unusually has three side doors, each with an original oak turn catch. The bottom door retains the original brass lock. Substantial chain driven fusee mechanism with turned pillars, retaining the drive linkage for a platform slave dial. This beautiful clock would have hung on the platform wall of the station ticket office with the drive mechanism passing through the building wall controlling a 16inch platform slave clock. The original drive mechanism hole remains in the case back panel. Runs well and keeps good time. Height 600mm, Width 400mm, Depth 180mm. Please view images for condition details.
