LYR 10inch drop dial fusee clock

Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway 10inch drop dial fusee clock in lovely condition. Retaining the original LYR 509 dial and L.Y.R. stamped winding key, a rare and desirable survivor presenting an attractive original patina. Evidence of a post grouping LMS oval brass identification plate fixed to the case front. Repair records to the rear of the dial suggest the LMS clock number was 16748. The quality ‘A’ frame English fusee movement has shaped shoulders and turned pillars, recently cleaned, runs well and keeps good time. Original pendulum, case pegs and bottom door with turn catch.
