LYR 10inch drop dial clock Ex Wakefield Kirkgate Station.

LYR 10inch drop dial fusee clock in lovely condition. Retaining the original LYR 509 dial and L.Y.R. stamped winding key a and case rear. A rare and desirable survivor presenting an attractive original patina. Evidence of an LMS oval brass identification plate fixed to the case front. Clock repair records to the rear of the dial show number 16748. LNER clock records show ex Wakefield Kirkgate station, acquired by LYR in 1847. The quality ‘A’ frame English fusee movement has shaped shoulders and turned pillars, recently cleaned, runs well and keeps good time. Original pendulum, case pegs and bottom door with turn catch.
