Description

Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway block instrument and block bell in original and complete condition. The LYR pattern block instrument is branded 'LNWR'. The block bell stamped 'L&Y.R' and plated 'EWOOD BRIDGE' a location on the East Lancashire Railway Ramsbottom to Bacup line which opened on 25th September 1846. Now part of the East Lancs Preservation Railway. Both instruments in ex-railway service condition. Bell - W: 215mm D: 235mm H: 225mm Block - W: 330mm D: 185mm H: 470mm
