LYR Block Instrument_SOLD

A great example of a LYR block instrument in totally original ex-signal box condition. The mahogany cabinet retains the original French polish finish with the expected in-service scratches paint splatters and wear marks. The underside of the base is heavily branded with the initials 'LYR'. The top of the cabinet is clearly stamped with the later additions 'L.M.S' and corresponding asset No. '1125'. The rear door and the base also have matching stamped component number '30'. This instrument retains the original brass engraved description plate 'FORMBY'. Missing one small length of beading from around the lower glazed window. although hardly noticeable. The instrument faces have not been re-painted and original status transfers are in very good condition and the 'TRAIN WAITING' flag moves freely. H: 470mm W: 320mm D: 170mm
