GWR Signal Box Signal Lamp Alarm

A rare GWR signal box instrument in ex-signal box condition, complete and in working order. These small bells were mounted on the signal box back wall and connected to signal oil lamps. The bell was activated when the internal signal lamp burner went out, raising the alarm that the signal had lost illumination behind the coloured signal lens.
