Description
A desirable GWR electric bell, mahogany case carrying an engraved brass plate reading 'LAMPS'. Bells like this were wired into the relay circuits of early oil signal lamps and were activated if the flame in the signal lamp went out and caused a bimetallic strip to break the repeater circuit, activating the bell.
Would make a great front door bell - activated with a brass plunger - check our stock.
