GCR Block Bell_03

Wonderful Great Central Railway block bell in the very difficult to find ex-box untouched condition. Retaining the original bone engraved name plate ‘THORNE JCT GOODS LINE’ and with in-service grime, paint spots and brass bell aged patina. The case is nicely stamped GCR and with an in-service brass cover plate fitted when the instrument was converted from a tapper instrument. Solid mahogany case with box joint construction. The internal mechanism is complete and in working condition. Great bell tone on a 12v supply.
