John Gorham (1937 - 2001) was an award-winning British graphic designer who gained renown within the industry through a variety of successful projects including film posters postage stamps and book covers. He was given the D&AD President's Award in 1993 in recognition of a lifetime's contribution to British design. This wonderful piece, probably unique, created in 1979 is typical of his graphic style and approach. Commissioned by the London based McConnell Studio this bespoke design is for The Cricketers Pub and illustrates a typically British village cricket scene with John Gorham's signature to the bottom right corner. Excellent condition. W: 670mm H: 1000mm
