A delicately proportion South Eastern Railway clock with a smaller than usual drop case  constructed from solid mahogany with dovetail joints and attractive veneer finish. The side door carries an original SER brass number plate stamped '369' and the bottom door retains the correct brass turn lock. The back of the box is also additionally stamped '369 SE' along with 'SER' stamped within an oval cartouche. The 12inch dial has been re-written in later service life 'B.R.(S). 369.S.E' and signed 'John Walker, 1 South Molton St,  London'. Records indicate it saw service life at Cannon Street Station, Parcels Accounts Office. The quality chain driven movement with turned pillars is branded on the back plate with a 'SER' cartouche. The pendulum is also stamped '369' to complete an impressive collection of original identification markings.
