Aveling & Porter of Rochester built traction engines and steam wagons up until 1919. These cast prancing horse Invicta emblems was attached to the smoke box doors of A&V steam engines and steam wagons. This attractive example has some well executed repair work around the horse's head but otherwise a nice pair in good condition. Evidence of original red paintwork to the rear face. Also remains of some later applied modern hot glue from an earlier display effort. W: 210mm H: 230mm
